Kantele Workshop (session 1)

The workshop series is envisioned to be 2-3 sessions, which will cover 1) the history and origins of the Finnish kantele, 2) construction of the instrument, crafting techniques and comparison with similar instruments such as the zither, kannel and kokle, and 3) basic playing instruction, with option for additional one-on-one lessons. The sessions will be 60-90 minutes in length and open to all ages.
